Description
The Catering Associate provides prompt, accurate, and attractive food service to patients and customers in a safe and sanitary manner, including food preparation, portion control, labeling, dish handling, sanitation, and equipment use. The role reports to the Assistant Director, Food and Nutrition or designee, requires regular attendance and adherence to hospital safety and confidentiality procedures, and involves physically demanding work in an indoor kitchen and patient-care environment. A high school education or equivalent is preferred, along with customer-service and communication experience; previous healthcare food-service or restaurant experience is also preferred, but no certifications or licensures are required.
