Description
The Cardiac Cath Lab Registered Nurse provides patient-care support for cardiac catheterization, peripheral vascular, angioplasty, and other advanced cardiovascular and structural heart procedures. The role may serve as the RN Circulator, Monitor, or Scrub, including patient assessment, documentation, sterile-field setup, hemodynamic monitoring, contrast and medication administration, equipment troubleshooting, radiation protection, discharge planning, and quality-improvement participation. Required qualifications include a Nevada Registered Nursing License, current BLS and ACLS certifications, and an associate degree in nursing; a bachelor’s degree, BC-CV certification, moderate sedation certification, and two years of cardiac catheterization lab experience are preferred.
