Description
DeKalb County Government is hiring experienced CDL drivers for Automated Side Loader and Rear Loader opportunities in Solid Waste Management. The role operates rear-loading, automated, semi-automated, and other heavy trucks to collect and transport solid waste, performs route-based collection and dumping, conducts vehicle inspections and basic maintenance, and follows safety and traffic procedures. A valid Georgia Class B CDL is required; some assignments may require a Class A CDL or endorsements. A high school diploma or GED is preferred, and at least one year of heavy equipment or heavy-truck operating experience is required. The salary is $19.00–$29.93 per hour depending on experience.
