Description
Sperry Rail is hiring a high-travel, field-based CDL Driver to operate specialized rail inspection vehicles, support rail flaw detection testing and data collection, perform ground-level rail inspections, maintain vehicles and equipment, and comply with DOT and FRA regulations. The role requires extensive travel throughout the Eastern or Western United States for 3–4 months at a time, along with physical work involving climbing, walking on uneven railroad surfaces, confined-space work, and lifting up to 85 pounds. Candidates need a valid Class A or B CDL with an air brake endorsement, the ability to pass DOT and background checks, strong communication skills, and basic mechanical aptitude; 2+ years of commercial driving experience and a high school diploma or GED are preferred. Compensation is $21.60 per hour, with a $1,000 sign-on bonus after 60 days, travel and lodging expenses, per diem, and overtime opportunities.
