Description
The Lead Driver substitutes for drivers on open routes, supports route completion, and provides operational support including training, retraining, mentoring, and follow-up for new and current drivers. The role also involves operating a vehicle safely, performing vehicle inspections, reporting incidents and service interruptions, communicating customer requests, completing route and end-of-day documentation, and maintaining driver-training records. Candidates must have substantial vehicle-operation experience, a CDL with an air-brake endorsement, and successfully complete pre-employment screening.
