Description
The Central Processing Technician is responsible for the safe and efficient processing of medical instruments and equipment, including decontamination, cleaning, sterilization, packaging, labeling, inventory management, and distribution. The role requires knowledge of sterile-processing procedures, the ability to distinguish single-use and reusable items, attention to detail, and the ability to lift or move more than 50 pounds. A high school diploma or equivalent and state licensure or certification as a Sterilization Technician are required.
