Description
The role decontaminates equipment, case carts, and instruments; maintains instruments in clean and safe condition; inspects equipment after patient use; and prepares instrument trays for procedural use. It requires a high school diploma or GED equivalent, six months of sterile-processing or operating-room technician experience, knowledge of Microsoft Office, BLS certification, and IAHCSMM certification within one year. The position may require off-shift work, emergency callouts, lifting approximately 30 pounds, and exposure to hazardous materials, sharp objects, and infectious diseases.
