Description
The Ceph Infrastructure Engineer takes technical ownership of productive Ceph clusters, operating and optimizing Ceph RBD, RGW, and S3-compatible object storage. The role covers upgrades, expansions, lifecycle management, performance and capacity analysis, automation with Ansible, Python, and Git, cloud integration in OpenStack and Kubernetes, monitoring, incident resolution, and documentation. It requires several years of experience with Linux and storage infrastructure, hands-on Ceph experience, distributed-systems knowledge, and German and English language skills. The position offers permanent employment, flexible hours, and work locations including Nuremberg, Aschheim, Berlin, or fully remote.
