Description

Mid-Continent Instruments and Avionics is hiring a Certification Engineer to provide engineering and technical support for evaluating and testing electrical equipment and emerging technologies. The role manages certification projects from start to finish, including FAA TSO, STC, and PMA activities; authoring test plans and reports; coordinating with external test laboratories; supporting prototype builds; designing test equipment; and evaluating new technology components. Candidates need a high school diploma or GED, at least three years of electrical equipment testing and certification experience, familiarity with industry, regulatory, or military standards, and experience with oscilloscopes, DVMs, data acquisition, and Microsoft Office. A bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field and familiarity with RTCA DO-160, DO-311A, MIL-STD-810G, MIL-STD-461F, and FAA TSO are preferred.
