Description
The Certified Academic Language Therapist provides structured literacy intervention and academic therapy to students with dyslexia and related language-based learning differences. The role delivers individualized or small-group instruction, monitors progress, documents services, collaborates with school teams, and ensures compliance with IDEA, Section 504, and Texas dyslexia requirements. It requires a bachelor's or master's degree in education, special education, or a related field, a CALT credential, and at least two years of structured literacy intervention experience; a Texas teaching certificate and LDT credential are preferred. The position may work remotely or on campus, with flexible scheduling and possible travel for in-person service or screenings.
