Description
The DWI Program Instructor provides instruction to offenders in DWI programs at the J.W. Hamilton Pre-Release Unit in Bryan, Texas. Responsibilities include interviewing and evaluating offenders, maintaining records, administering pre- and post-test instruments, teaching social skills, providing feedback, and maintaining accountability for staff, offenders, and property. The role is full-time, Monday through Friday, with eight-hour shifts and pays $19.00 per hour. Qualifications include an associate's degree in a relevant field or an applicable professional registration, or at least two years of documented direct client-service experience related to substance abuse or mental disorders, along with Texas DWI education training, CPR certification, a valid Texas driver's license, and approved background and in-service training.
