Description
The Certified Medical Assistant supports a health and wellness center’s clinical and clerical operations under the direction of the provider and Clinical Operations Manager. The role includes patient interviews, vital-sign measurement, clinical procedures such as injections, EKGs, urinalysis, blood draws, medication dispensing, AED use, room preparation, and instrument sterilization, as well as front-desk check-in, phone triage, scheduling, record maintenance, supply ordering, regulatory reporting, and patient follow-up. Candidates need a high school diploma or equivalent, an active and unrevoked medical assistant certification, current BLS certification, and knowledge of medical records, software, HIPAA, communication, prioritization, and patient care.
