Description
The Certified Medical Assistant supports a health and wellness center’s clinical and clerical operations under the direction of the provider and Clinical Operations Manager. Responsibilities include patient interviews, vital signs, clinical procedures such as injections, EKGs, urinalysis, blood draws, medication dispensing, AED use, room preparation, instrument sterilization, front-desk operations, scheduling, recordkeeping, supply ordering, and patient follow-up. The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, an active and unrevoked medical assistant certification, current BLS certification, and knowledge of medical records, software, HIPAA, communication, prioritization, and regulatory reporting.
