Description
The Certified Medical Assistant supports the clinical and clerical operations of a health and wellness center under the direction of the provider and Clinical Operations Manager. Responsibilities include patient interviews, vital signs, clinical procedures such as injections, EKGs, urinalysis, blood draws, medication dispensing, AED use, room preparation, instrument sterilization, front-desk and scheduling tasks, recordkeeping, supply ordering, and patient follow-up. The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, an accredited medical assisting program, twelve months of direct clinical patient care experience, or current medical assistant certification, with certification required within six months for non-certified candidates.
