Description
The Certified Medical Assistant provides clinical and administrative support to physicians, optometrists, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, registered nurses, and licensed practical nurses. Duties include patient intake, vital signs, medical records, appointment and procedure scheduling, laboratory and office procedures, medication and allergy injection administration under provider direction, diagnostic test ordering, referrals and insurance pre-certifications, patient education, prescription communications, supply management, infection-control compliance, OSHA compliance, and customer service. The role reports to the Operations Manager and requires medical assistant credentials and CPR certification.
