Description
The Certified Medical Assistant supports a primary care physician by reviewing and updating patient health records, measuring vital signs, preparing treatment rooms, providing customer service, and performing clerical duties. The role requires a high school degree or GED, an active medical assisting certification within 12 months of the start date, and BLS Basic Life Support. One year of medical assistant experience and two years of physician-office clerical experience are preferred but not required.
