Description
The Certified Medical Assistant supports a health and wellness center’s clinical and clerical operations under the direction of a provider and Clinical Operations Manager. Responsibilities include patient interviews, vital signs, clinical procedures such as injections, EKGs, urinalysis, blood draws, medication dispensing, AED use, room preparation, instrument sterilization, front-desk operations, scheduling, recordkeeping, supply ordering, and patient follow-up. The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, a medical assisting program, clinical experience, or current certification, with certification required within six months for non-certified candidates, plus BLS, software, communication, prioritization, and HIPAA knowledge. Infrequent domestic travel may be required.
