Description
The Certified Nursing Assistant provides personal nursing care to patients under the direction of a licensed registered nurse, assisting with activities of daily living, nutrition, hydration, elimination, bathing, dressing, feeding, positioning, and restorative care. The role also includes taking vital signs, reporting patient status and concerns, performing clerical duties, and providing assessment data within the CNA scope of practice. Required qualifications include a high school education or GED, Basic Life Support certification, and Certified Nursing Assistant certification; phlebotomy certification and audiometry or vision training are preferred.
