Description
The Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant provides coordinated occupational therapy to patients of all age groups under the supervision of a Licensed Occupational Therapist. Responsibilities include performing delegated and supervised services, coordinating patient care, teaching patients and families, documenting care, applying infection-control practices, accepting appropriate clinical assignments, and participating in continuing education and in-service programs. The role requires an accredited associate degree in occupational therapy, a current Texas occupational therapy license, two years of occupational therapy assistant experience, CPR and Hepatitis profile documentation, a licensed automobile, and the ability to work in healthcare facilities or patients' residences under physically demanding conditions.
