Description
The Peer Specialist provides recovery-oriented peer support to individuals with mental health and/or substance use conditions, using lived experience to promote wellness, self-determination, coping skills, and community integration. The role supports treatment planning, advocacy, recovery groups, crisis intervention, documentation, interdisciplinary team collaboration, and community connections, while also requiring community-based travel, a valid driver's license, and ongoing professional development.
