Description
The Certified Pharmacy Technician provides technical and clerical pharmacy support in an ambulatory care clinic under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist. Responsibilities include preparing, packaging, labeling, dispensing, and compounding medications; managing inventory and pharmacy supplies; supporting patient pick-up and mail-out programs; entering medication and billing data; processing prior authorizations; and maintaining compliance with regulatory, privacy, and quality-improvement requirements. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, PTCB certification, registration with the South Dakota State Board of Pharmacy, BLS certification, and successful background and drug screening.
