Description
The Sterile Processing Technician is responsible for the full lifecycle of surgical supplies, instruments, and equipment, including inventory, decontamination, assembly, packaging, sterilization, quality control, storage, distribution, tracking, and recordkeeping. The role also includes preparing instrument sets for surgical cases, training new staff, maintaining certification, and traveling between system facilities and off-site locations. A high school diploma, three months of full-time orientation, and a CRCST certification required within one year are specified.
