Description
The Certified Sterile Processing Technician prepares, decontaminates, sterilizes, assembles, packages, and distributes surgical instruments and medical equipment for surgeries and procedures. The role also maintains sterilization records and inventory, supports surgical preps and patient positioning, and ensures operating rooms are clean and stocked. A high school diploma or equivalent, at least two years of sterile processing experience in a hospital or surgery center, sterile processing technician certification, and current Basic Life Support certification are required.
