Description
The Certified Surgical Technologist prepares and provides sterile instruments, supplies, and equipment for operative or invasive procedures, maintains aseptic technique, assists with case preparation and operative-room cleaning, and performs surgical skin preparation and clipping. The role requires an associate degree, vocational certification, or military certificate in surgical technology, certification through CST, NBSTA, TS-C, or NCCT, and one year of perioperative, operating-room, or related military surgical technology experience is preferred.
