Description
The Surgical Technologist assists with surgical procedures for patients of all ages by preparing sterile supplies and the operating room, assisting during operations, maintaining instrument and specimen counts, handling drugs and solutions under direction, cleaning rooms, and maintaining aseptic technique. The role requires completion of a Surgical Technology program or U.S. Armed Forces Surgical Technologist training, no prior experience, and annual continuing education; CST or TS-C certification is required unless grandfathered under state law. The position is based at Baptist Parkridge Hospital in the Operating Room department.
