Description
The Certified Teacher Assistant or Aide supports a certified teacher in an 853 school by assisting with non-teaching classroom functions, monitoring students, supporting students with special needs, supervising students during transitions and events, proctoring exams, and participating in behavior management and staff activities. The role requires a high school diploma or equivalency, NYS CTA certification, current Therapeutic Crisis Intervention certification, and knowledge of assisting students with disabilities; high school experience and classroom management skills are preferred. It is a 12-month position paying $19.00–$19.27 per hour.
