Description
Petco is hiring a Veterinarian Technician to provide veterinary care and customer support in a Vetco Total Care full-service hospital. The role includes greeting clients, obtaining vital signs and histories, assisting with appointments, surgery, dentistry, and euthanasia, restraining patients, processing laboratory samples, administering medications and intravenous therapies, preparing patients for procedures, monitoring anesthesia and recovery, scheduling appointments, communicating results, maintaining records and inventory, and supporting accounts receivable. The position requires completed college or college-equivalent education, at least one year of veterinary technician or veterinary practice experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to work in a hospital environment involving lifting, kneeling, bending, and prolonged standing. The stated pay range is $18.00 to $28.50 per hour.
