Applicants need 1–2 years of wildfire fuel mitigation or brushing experience, 1+ years on wildfire suppression crews, S-100/S-185 certifications, 1–2 years of chainsaw experience, a driver’s license with a clean abstract, and availability for extended travel and living-out work. Compensation is $30 hourly, with a $45 daily chainsaw stipend and a $60.61 daily live-out allowance.
