Description
The Chaplain provides timely spiritual and pastoral care in response to requests and referrals, conducts spiritual assessments and interventions, collaborates with clinical staff, and supports patients, families, volunteers, students, and community clergy. The role may include workshops, in-service programs, support groups, on-call evening, night, and weekend pastoral care, and on-site supervision of the Eucharistic Lay Minister program. Required qualifications include a Master of Divinity or equivalent, four units of Clinical Pastoral Education for full-time and part-time staff, at least two years of full-time parish experience following ordination, and professional certification within one year of hire; Oncology Chaplain experience and one year of post-residency experience are preferred.
