Description
The Chaplain will report to the deputy warden of programs and lead religious programs at the East Mississippi Correctional Facility in Meridian, Mississippi. Responsibilities include conducting religious services and education, counseling offenders, providing pastoral care, coordinating volunteers, training chaplaincy volunteers, and maintaining offender and property accountability. The role requires current ecclesiastical endorsement or ordination, clinical pastoral education, and two years of religious or related experience, along with a Mississippi driver’s license and acceptable driving record. The position pays $15.00 per hour and includes medical, vision, prescription drug, dental, retirement, leave, and other benefits.
