Description
The Hospital Chaplain provides spiritual and emotional support to patients, families, caregivers, and staff; conducts spiritual assessments; develops care plans; coordinates with community faith leaders; documents contacts; participates in interdisciplinary meetings; provides consultation, education, bereavement support, and funeral or memorial services; and covers the hospital region as needed. The role requires a bachelor's degree, two years of relevant experience, ordination or endorsement by a recognized religious body, and preferably a master's degree in seminary or theology and APC or NACC chaplain certification.
