Description
The Charterer secures safe, reliable, and cost-effective marine vessels for an energy trading business, including spot, short-term, and long-term charters. The role negotiates and manages charter party agreements, coordinates vessel availability and freight rates with Trading, Legal, Middle Office, and Operations, manages vendor payments and claims, monitors performance and market metrics, and ensures compliance with contractual, safety, and internal controls requirements. The position requires a bachelor’s degree in a maritime-related field, four years of chartering or relevant industry experience, knowledge of maritime logistics and API standards, strong negotiation and analytical skills, and permanent, unconditional United States work authorization; visa sponsorship is not offered.
