Aveo is hiring a permanent part-time Chef for The Newstead Residences, an inner-city retirement community in Brisbane. The role prepares fresh à la carte- or menu-based meals for lunch and dinner, supports kitchen operations, maintains food safety and cleanliness, contributes to menu and function improvements, and builds connections with residents. The schedule is Tuesday from 11:00am to 6:30pm, Wednesday from 12:00pm to 8:00pm, and Thursday from 12:00pm to 8:00pm. Applicants need restaurant, hotel, healthcare, or quality hospitality chef experience, a Certificate in Commercial Cookery, Food Safety certification is desirable, and at least two COVID-19 vaccinations. The position pays $31.36 per hour plus superannuation and relevant award entitlements.
