Maple Ridge is seeking a part-time Chef responsible for preparing and serving meals according to established menus, recipes, and portion standards. The role involves accommodating resident dietary needs, presenting food attractively, and providing excellent customer service. Additionally, the Chef will ensure kitchen cleanliness and follow sanitation standards.

Required Skills

Food Preparation & Service
Prepare and serve meals according to established menus, recipes, and portion standards.
Ensure meals are prepared safely, on time, and at proper serving temperatures.
Accommodate resident dietary needs, including special diets, allergies, and texture modifications.
Present food attractively and consistently, following Mosaic dining standards.
Step in to assist with plating, garnishing, and serving during peak dining times.
Provide courteous, respectful, and personalized service to residents and guests, ensuring an exceptional dining experience and fostering positive relationships
Clean and maintain the kitchen, food preparation areas, equipment, and dining spaces.
Follow Mosaic’s cleaning schedules and infection control standards.
Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and infection control standards.
Ability to prepare a variety of foods skillfully and efficiently.
Strong time management and organizational skills.
Prior experience working with therapeutic or specialized diets.
ServSafe, Food Handlers or equivalent food safety certification.

Additional Information

Minimum Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
Required Previous Experiences: Minimum 1 year of experience as a cook in healthcare, senior living, or hospitality.
