PPG is hiring a Chemical Operator for its Barberton-Norton plant in Norton, Ohio. The role pays $26.64 and includes a $1,000 sign-on bonus and a $1,000 retention bonus after one year. The rotating shift includes nights, weekends, and holidays, with three scheduled shifts. Responsibilities include safely starting and stopping equipment, troubleshooting, following documented procedures, working with hazardous chemicals and laboratory equipment, documenting work, maintaining a safe environment, and performing basic quality and process checks. The operator must be able to work in any department area, lift up to 50 pounds, work in a respirator, climb ladders, work overtime, and stand or sit for long periods.
