Description
The Engineer is responsible for the maintenance, repair, monitoring, and preventive upkeep of the engines, generator sets, electrical, steering, hydraulic, heating, cooling, water, fuel, lubrication, sewage, and other operating systems on company towboats. The role also includes troubleshooting, engine-room maintenance, fuel and operating-fluid monitoring, safety inspections, training and directing trainees, and keeping accurate engine-room records. The position requires a valid TWIC, a pre-employment drug test, random DOT testing, and a pre-employment physical.
