Description
The Chief Engineer performs scheduled maintenance, safety inspections, repairs, and engineering support for building systems and equipment, including HVAC, engines, turbines, motors, pumps, air compressors, refrigeration, and air-conditioning systems. The role also oversees building operations, prepares progress reports, investigates failures, develops maintenance programs and project plans, coordinates with operational groups, and coaches engineers as an indirect report. It requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical field and at least seven years of progressively responsible engineering, facilities, or building operations experience, or ten years of equivalent experience without a bachelor’s degree, plus at least three years of supervisory or leadership experience and a valid driver’s license. The listed pay is $55 per hour.
