Description
The Data Center Chief Engineer provides maintenance support and management for assigned colocation data centers, maintaining mechanical, electrical, IT, fire and life-safety, and building-management systems. The role oversees repairs, change and expansion projects, vendor contracts, contractor work, work orders, asset tracking, emergency procedures, root-cause analysis, risk assessments, and staff training, while reporting to the Facility Manager. Candidates need a high school diploma or GED, strong industrial HVAC, plumbing, electrical, fire/life-safety, and control-systems knowledge, and at least five years of data-center experience plus ten years of building-management experience.
