Description
Hermeus is hiring a Chief Engineer to lead the end-to-end design, construction, and activation of an expansion at its next-generation airbreathing propulsion test facility, HEAT, in Jacksonville, Florida. The role serves as the principal engineering authority, overseeing facility architecture, propulsion-system requirements, cross-functional engineering teams, contractors, government and internal stakeholders, risk and quality management, and operational readiness. The position requires a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, or a related field, at least 10 years of propulsion-test-facility or aerospace-infrastructure experience, and the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance; a master’s or PhD is preferred.
