Description
The Chief Engineer supports the maintenance, safety, security, and asset protection of the Lexington Hotel NYC building and grounds. The role oversees repair work orders, engineering and maintenance operations, equipment and systems, emergency response, training, hiring, and budget-related activities, while providing 24/7 emergency support. Requirements include a high school degree or equivalency, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, boiler, and general maintenance skills, at least two years of engineering or maintenance experience, local building-code knowledge, applicable certificates, and strong communication, leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
