Shield AI is hiring a Chief Engineer to lead the development and deployment of autonomy solutions for unmanned aircraft systems. The role serves as the chief authority on system architecture, design, development, risk mitigation, and product quality; leads a team of 6–20 engineers; and provides technical leadership across internal research and defense contracts. Candidates need a relevant engineering or computer science degree, at least 10 years of autonomy or UAS experience, and 7+ years delivering software into high-reliability or certifiable environments. The position offers a full-time regular employee package with pay, bonus, benefits, and equity, or a temporary employee package with applicable benefits after 60 days.
