Description
AWS Infrastructure Services is hiring a Chief Engineer to oversee electrical, mechanical, and fire/life-safety equipment in AWS-owned data centers. The role manages preventative and corrective maintenance, emergency response, facility operations, equipment troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, new-facility design support, vendor coordination, safety compliance, and large-scale regional projects. The position requires a bachelor's degree in electrical or mechanical engineering or a related field and experience with critical data-center systems; data-center or mission-critical operations experience is preferred. The role involves physical work at height, from ladders, and in noisy environments, with overtime as needed.
