AWS Infrastructure Services is hiring a Chief Engineer to oversee electrical, mechanical, and fire/life-safety equipment in AWS-owned data centers. The role includes planned preventative maintenance, corrective work, emergency response, facility operations, troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, project management, vendor coordination, safety oversight, and escalation of facility issues. The position requires a bachelor's degree in electrical or mechanical engineering or a related field, knowledge of mission-critical systems, fluent English, and the ability to work at heights, from ladders, and in noisy environments.
