Description
The Chief Engineer is responsible for the safe, efficient operation, inspection, maintenance, and repair of all vessel and shipboard equipment, both at sea and in port. Reporting to the Captain and Marine Management Team, the role leads engine-room personnel, coordinates with deck and factory supervisors, develops maintenance programs, plans refits, tracks inspections and repairs, manages maintenance layovers and vessel readiness, and champions the digital Safety Management System. Required credentials include a valid Engineer's motor certificate class 2 or greater, a commercial fishing license, a valid passport, Seafarers Medical, MED, and WHMIS certification.
