True Anomaly is hiring a Chief Engineer to lead the technical development and execution of a next-generation missile defense program. The role owns the end-to-end ground-segment architecture, real-time command-and-control systems, data pipelines, cybersecurity, simulation, hardware-in-the-loop, and operational prototypes, while guiding software teams, systems engineers, mission operations, hardware developers, government stakeholders, industry partners, and subcontractors. Candidates need an advanced degree, 15+ years of experience in large-scale mission-critical software systems, at least 5 years in a chief architect or equivalent role, and expertise in distributed systems, autonomy, real-time decision-making, DoD software standards, cybersecurity, and high-availability architectures. The position is onsite in Centennial, Colorado, or Long Beach, California, with travel as needed, and offers a base salary of $190,000-$305,000 plus equity and benefits.
