Description
The Northern Indiana Commuter Transportation District is hiring a Chief Engineering Officer to lead its Engineering Department and oversee the safety, inspection, testing, maintenance, repair, reliability, regulatory compliance, and state of good repair of railroad track, structures, line, and signal infrastructure. The role requires significant railroad engineering or maintenance-of-way experience, supervisory leadership, field work throughout the service territory, and availability for emergencies and weekend or holiday coverage. The position reports to the President/General Manager or designated executive, collaborates with the Senior Director of Capital Projects and Structures, and includes an annual salary of $159,650 plus medical, dental, vision, health savings account, retirement, and other benefits.
