Description
Westpac is hiring a Chief Engineer, Data Platforms to lead the strategic technical direction, architecture, roadmap, performance, reliability, security, scalability, and transformation of its data platform ecosystem. The role covers lakehouse, data warehouse, data integration, and information management capabilities, including large-scale migrations, agentic automation, DevSecOps, SRE, and coaching senior engineers. It is based in Sydney or Melbourne with a hybrid working model and requires significant technical leadership experience, advanced knowledge of data technologies and cloud platforms, and strong communication and influencing skills.
