Description

Future Caucus is hiring a full-time Chief Program Officer to lead its program strategy, lawmaker-engagement lifecycle, cross-state programming, strategic planning, program evaluation, and external representation. The role reports to the President & CEO, supervises program leaders and direct reports, develops leadership, manages budgets, and collaborates with the executive team and development department. It is a hybrid position in the Washington, DC metro area with an anticipated start in January 2027, requiring at least 10 years of relevant experience and 4 years managing senior leaders and multidisciplinary teams. Compensation is $151,000-$163,000 plus bonus eligibility and comprehensive benefits.

Additional Information

Required Previous Experiences: 10+ years of relevant experience
At least 4 years managing senior leaders and multidisciplinary teams across multiple programs with teams of 5 or more
Track record of leading teams through staff development, coaching, and leadership
Preferred Qualifications: In-depth familiarity with state-level politics and the governing needs of young lawmakers
Strong network-building and relationship-building skills
Public speaking experience with VIP audiences
Entrepreneurial and self-motivated approach
Proactive communication and lateral management skills
