Quest Defense Systems & Solutions is hiring a Chief Software Engineer to lead software architecture for mission- and safety-critical aerospace and defense programs in an engineering-services delivery model. The role serves as a customer-facing technical authority, translating requirements and certification constraints into architecture, guiding multiple teams and programs, supporting certification and compliance, managing technical risk, and mentoring engineers. It requires U.S. citizenship, a relevant degree, significant DO-178C and embedded software experience, and customer-facing program experience; the position can be remote with up to 25% travel and prefers candidates in Scottsdale, Minneapolis, or Cincinnati. Compensation is $160,000–$190,000 USD.
