Description
The Chief Structural Engineer and Strategic Advisor determines structural design and advisory strategy for complex civil infrastructure projects, including bridges, tunnels, locks, quay walls, and other high-quality structures. The role leads design teams, reviews critical calculations, validates nonlinear and finite element models, assesses strength, stability, deformation, fatigue, robustness, foundations, and existing structures, and advises clients on decisions with long-term consequences. The position requires an HBO or WO degree in civil or structural engineering, extensive engineering or consulting experience, ultimate responsibility for structural designs, and expertise in concrete, prestressed concrete, steel, Eurocodes, and Dutch guidelines.
